Although Stratford and Market Rasen race meetings have been abandoned today there is still plenty of action today with flat meetings going ahead at Ascot, Catterick, Wolverhampton and one jump meeting at Newton Abbot, where we have four runners. In Ireland there are meetings at Leopardstown and Limerick.

It was a super day for everyone at Pond House, and the David Pipe Racing Club with Ben Lilly winning for a second time over hurdles at Wincanton.

There are race meetings today at Brighton, Chelmsford, Carlisle (where there is an inspection at 9am) and at Wincanton where we have one runner, Ben Lilly, pictured here on a very happy day after winning at Newton Abbot in September.

Storm Babet has just begun to make an appearance in the past hour. Let’s hope it brings minimal disruption. There is just one jump meeting today at Wetherby, and four flat meetings at Nottingham, Bath, Kempton and at Navan in Ireland. We haven’t got any runners today.

It is a chilly start to the day but we will make the most of the dry weather as the rest of the week looks a bit wet! We haven't got any runners today for the yard but we do have four horses leaving this morning to go up to Doncaster sales to go through the ring tomorrow. There are no jump meetings but they race on the flat at Musselburgh, Windsor, Yarmouth, Kempton and Gowran in Ireland.

Bashful Boy bounced right back to his best form to run a cracker in the Cesarewitch yesterday to finish fourth. We needn’t have worried about the going for him. He was given a super ride by the 5lb claimer Aiden Brookes.
