Picture Painter (IRE)
2013 Grey Gelding
By: Zoffany (IRE)
Out of: Sisceal (IRE)
By: Dalakhani (IRE)

Picture Painter is a nice addition to the team having shown progressive form to win over hurdles and his most recent start on the flat.  We have had him for a little while and he goes nicely at home and is versatile with regard to ground.  He is fit and ready to run and has schooled well over hurdles and will be an ideal dual-purpose horse for the coming season and I am sure there are races to be won with him under both codes and give you plenty of fun for a comparatively modest budget.

Has a handicap mark of 114 over hurdles and should have no shortage of opportunities with a reasonable looking rating of just 55 on the flat.

Looks excellent value at £12,000+VAT

                  First Lord de Cuet (FR)

First Lord de Cuet (FR)
2014 Grey Gelding
By: Lord du Sud (FR)
Out of: Alyce (FR)
By: Villez (USA)

I purchased First Lord de Cuet at the Chetlenham sales at the end of May following a most pleasing debut success in an Irish point-to-point at Tralee.  He showed plenty of pace that day and I loved the determined attitude he displayed to hold on in a driving finish despite a last fence mistake, the first two coming well clear of a Gigginstown runner in third.

A product of the prolific Monbeg operation, he looks sure to make up into a quality individual.  The pundits at Irish pointing experts p2p.ie said, “First Lord de Cuet was one of eight newcomers in the line-up and he came back from a final fence blunder to oblige in what was the closest finish of the afternoon…he’s likely to make his presence felt on the racetrack over shorter to middle distances”.

He will start off in bumpers and certainly has the physique for hurdles and as his display at Tralee suggests, he will jump fences in time.

Acker Bilk (IRE)
2014 Chestnut Gelding
By: Rip Van Winkle (IRE)
Out of: Portentous
By: Selkirk (USA)

I am pleased to offer a 50% share in Acker Bilk – a dual winner on the level who was a most impressive winner of his hurdles debut last time out at Worcester on 29th August.  He jumped and travelled supremely well and was comfortably on top at the line and jockey Tom Scudamore was very impressed with him.  Only four years old, he is a fine, big gelding and will continue to improve with experience and can certainly rate more highly over timber.  He has the size and scope for fences in time and will also be winning on the flat again at some point.

An exciting prospect.

Friday Night Light (FR)

2013 Bay Gelding
By: Air Chief Marshal (IRE)
Out of: Peninsula (FR)
By: Dansili

I am delighted to offer a ½ share in exciting novices’ hurdle prospect Friday Night Light.  He had some good form on the flat in France, winning over 1m4½f at Compiegne, while he was also placed at top tracks such as Maisons-Laffitte and Saint Cloud.

The ground was too lively for his liking when making his first start for the yard in the Cesarewitch at Newmarket, but he has since made a most promising start to his hurdling career, finishing placed on his first couple of outings, before running out a brave winner at Newbury on his handicap debut.  He maintained his improvement when finishing runner-up in a competitive open handicap hurdle at Ascot on his latest start on 17th February.  He will have an entry in the Imperial Cup and (depending on how he fares) could well go to the Cheltenham Festival the following week.

Robin des Champs - Gaspara

2014 Chestnut Gelding

By: Robin des Champs (FR)

Out of: Gaspara (FR)

By: Astarabad (USA)

Bred in the purple, we are delighted to offer 50% of this exciting gelding.  By National Hunt super sire Robin des Champs, he is a son of the stable’s very own Imperial Cup and Cheltenham Festival winning mare, Gaspara.

Robin des Champs is responsible for top class jumpers Vautour, Sir des Champs, Un Temps Pour Tout and Quevega to name but a few, while Gaspara is a half-brother to winning Pond House inmates Mr Thriller and The Tracey Shuffle.

This well-made individual has pleased in everything he has done to date and is an exciting recruit for the future.
