                        Masters Voice

Masters Voice
2014 Bay Gelding
By: Milan
Out of: Agladora (FR)
By: Take Risks (FR)

I purchased Masters Voice from the Doncaster Sales at the beginning of August.  A son of top class National Hunt sire Milan, he is a fine stamp of a horse from a good family (being a half-brother to very promising bumper winner Paddy Boss and point-to point winner Slip Road who was placed in a Listed bumper).

Masters Voice showed plenty of promise on his pointing debut when fourth at Bartlemy despite showing distinct signs of inexperience.   He duly stepped up on that effort when bolting up by 10 lengths at Tralee next time out.  Irish point-to-point experts p-2-p.ie said, “MASTERS VOICE (IRE) is a son of Milan from a strong French distaff family that finished a respectable fourth on his debut at Bartlemy almost two weeks earlier. He won this race with supreme ease, which is a most meritorious performance when one considers that he also ran quite green in the closing stages and he`s taken to develop into a smart sort over middle distances inside the rails”.  They gave him a point-to-point rating of 88+ which for one so inexperienced is very promising.

I bought him for £30,000+VAT, agent and sales commission and I think he represents excellent value at that price.

                     Legal History (IRE)

Legal History (IRE)
2015 Bay Gelding
By: Lawman (FR)
Out of: Nina Celebre (IRE)
By: Peintre Celebre (USA)

I am pleased to offer a 25% share in exciting juvenile hurdle prospect Legal History.  He is bred in the purple by Lawman out of a Peintre Celebre mare and as such is a half-brother to to Group One winner Pakistan Star and German 1,000 Guineas 5th Nina Terz  He has shown a decent level of form on the flat, finishing in the frame on five of his nine starts, reaching a BHA rating of 87 at his best.  Quality juvenile hurdlers are hard to find but this chap looks the ideal type to make up into just that.  He has finished in the frame in all hurdle starts to date, including when a close second in a Class 2 contest at Newbury last time.  He is entered in a £40,000 juvenile handicap hurdle at Ascot this weekend.

He is an ideal dual-purpose type and will give potential owners the benefit of owning a smart prospect for a fraction of the normal cost.  The 1/4 share is available for £12,000+VAT.

                  First Lord de Cuet (FR)

First Lord de Cuet (FR)
2014 Grey Gelding
By: Lord du Sud (FR)
Out of: Alyce (FR)
By: Villez (USA)

I purchased First Lord de Cuet at the Chetlenham sales at the end of May following a most pleasing debut success in an Irish point-to-point at Tralee.  He showed plenty of pace that day and I loved the determined attitude he displayed to hold on in a driving finish despite a last fence mistake, the first two coming well clear of a Gigginstown runner in third.

A product of the prolific Monbeg operation, he looks sure to make up into a quality individual.  The pundits at Irish pointing experts p2p.ie said, “First Lord de Cuet was one of eight newcomers in the line-up and he came back from a final fence blunder to oblige in what was the closest finish of the afternoon…he’s likely to make his presence felt on the racetrack over shorter to middle distances”.  They were clearly impressed giving him a figure of 90+ which is very high, especially for a first effort.

He will start off in bumpers and certainly has the physique for hurdles and as his display at Tralee suggests, he will jump fences in time.

                                Teaser

Teaser
2015 Bay Gelding
By: Dansili
Out of: Tottie
By: Fantastic Light (USA)

Teaser ran out an easy winner of a 1m2f Leicester seller on his latest start (coming home 2 lengths ahead of the favourite with a further 6 lengths back to the third) and we purchased him with a view to sending him juvenile hurdling.  A nice stamp of a horse and lightly raced, he is a half-brother to decent winner Column.  He will begin jumping in our loose school and will be ready to go hurdling shortly and he looks to be a good value buy at £7,500+VAT.
