Our one runner at Chepstow yesterday, Platinumcard pulled up. Jack Tudor made the right decision to look after him for another day once he had lost touch four out. He will prefer better ground next time out. We have five runners today. Three at Chepstow and two at Newmarket.

There is a real North South divide after the past weeks weather, with the going at Ayr described as Heavy and then it's Good to Firm at Exeter. We have three runners today at Exeter and one at Worcester, where Thistlebuffs is our first runner of the day in the 2.30pm Handicap chase.

We haven't got any runners from the yard today but there are flat meetings at Kempton and Nottingham , and jump meetings at Ludlow, Sedgefield and Punchestown in Ireland. The much anticipated 2024 Fixture list was released yesterday with the main change being the creation of one hundred and seventy Premier fixtures, with the majority of these taking place on Saturdays.

It is a gloomy foggy morning here at Pond House but spirits are high after Myristica defied top weight to win her fourth hurdle race of the season, conceding 24lbs to her younger rival, Hourless.

There are flat meetings today at Windsor, Pontefract, Wolverhampton and one jump meeting at Stratford where Myristica runs in the Novices' Handicap Hurdle at 4.10pm.

Summer has returned with the sun shining, and no rain in the forecast, which is slightly typical with the jumps season kicking off next week! There are two jump meetings today at Kelso and Uttoxeter where we have one runner. Hammer Dan runs in the 2m Handicap Hurdle. He has had a nice summer break and this will be his first run back since having wind surgery. He might improve for a step up in trip but this is a good starting point.

It was a good day for the yard yesterday with a winner, two seconds and a fifth. Oceanline ran a brilliant race to win the 2m Handicap at Ascot, in fine style. Rob Hornby gave him a super ride dominating the race making all. He quickened away and stayed on well all the way to the line. Nothing else really got a look in! Ascot is such a wonderful racecourse and they look after all the owners, trainers and staff so well. It was a fabulous day all round.
