Paricolor runs today!
Today we have one runner now at Doncaster, Paricolor.  Stray Bullet was supposed to be running today, but unfortunately he picked up a small cut yesterday so we have taken him out and we'll save him for another day.  Paricolor runs in the 3.05pm handicap hurdle over three miles and Jack Tudor rides.  Paricolor has ran well in three starts to date this term, twice at Cheltenham and then finishing second at Fontwell on Boxing Day.  There are 14 runners and we are about 7/1 third best in the betting.  He is a very genuine and honest horse who has run well at the track before and I don’t see why he won’t be far away today.  He is owned by a little syndicate and we still have shares available so if you would like to get involved please do get in touch!

We just have the one runner today, Heure De Gloire at Uttoxeter and there is a cracking day of action to look forward to all round.  Heure De Gloire runs in the opening race on the Uttoxeter card, the 12.48pm Conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle over two miles and Ellis Coller rides.  Gearoid Harney is still out of action and Ellis has been coming into ride out in recent weeks.  Based with Christian Williams, he is another very tall jockey but he can do light weights and he has ridden 11 career winners to date and is another very laid back character!

There are two jumps meetings today at Sedgefield and Sandown but we do not have any runners.  The Sandown card features the Grand Military Gold Cup at 3pm and it is great to see a field of ten runners.  We have supported the race for the last few years but just unfortunately this year we did not have any suitable horses.  Broken Halo is the favourite trained by Paul Nicholls and is partnered by Jodie Sole.  While the horses form figures this season are FP I think he is the most likely winner of the race.  He won it last year and the trainer/jockey combination are red hot in these races.  I am glad to see plenty of runners today as I have to say I have been a little worried about the races future with dwindling field sizes in more recent years.  We were of course lucky to win the race with Rathlin Rose partnered by Guy Disney in 2017 and 2018 which were very memorable occasions.

Kingofthewest after his win yesterday!
It was great to get a nice win at Chepstow yesterday with Kingfthewest who was winning for the first time over fences.  Jack Tudor was banned so Harry Cobden was a more than able substitute and what a ride he gave our eight year old.  I am not into, or don’t really understand betting in running but I imagine he was quite a big price when the field were travelling down the far side of the course.  Cheek pieces replaced the blinkers he had been wearing of late and he wasn’t really on the bridle, but Harry cajoled him along to keep him in the race before getting a good tune and run out of him over the last few fences and he was very strong in the saddle inside the last furlong.  He actually won a little cosily in the end and Harry said he wasn’t totally in love with the ground so it was a nice performance and I am sure this will have done his confidence the world of good.  It was especially nice for his small group of owners who were in attendance to cheer him on.

           Kingofthewest runs today!
It is a quieter day for the stable today with just the one runner at Chesptow, Kingofthewest.  He runs in the 3.45pm handicap chase over 2m3f and Harry Coben rides.  Jack Tudor is unfortunately banned today so we have enlisted the services of Mr Cobden who is still trying to bridge the gap of winners between himself and Sean Bowen.  Hopefully we can help him out with a winner but it has been a little while since our eight year old has won but he has been in good form in three starts over fences this term, finishing third at Taunton and fourth twice at Wincanton.  He is a good jumper and at about 6/1 third best in the betting, hopefully he can run a big race.

Shot Boii runs today at Warwick!
It was great to have jump racing back yesterday and even though Fakenham was lost to the weather elements, Lingfield went ahead as planned with some good racing. The action continues today at Warwick and an extra meeting put on at Plumpton following the recent abandonments. We have one runner at Warwick, Shot Boii and two runners at Plumpton, Ben Lilly and Kauto Kawai. Only The Bold was declared at Plumpton but only in case Lingfield was called off yesterday so does not run.
