          Paricolor runs today!
Today we have one runner now at Doncaster, Paricolor.  Stray Bullet was supposed to be running today, but unfortunately he picked up a small cut yesterday so we have taken him out and we'll save him for another day.  Paricolor runs in the 3.05pm handicap hurdle over three miles and Jack Tudor rides.  Paricolor has ran well in three starts to date this term, twice at Cheltenham and then finishing second at Fontwell on Boxing Day.  There are 14 runners and we are about 7/1 third best in the betting.  He is a very genuine and honest horse who has run well at the track before and I don’t see why he won’t be far away today.  He is owned by a little syndicate and we still have shares available so if you would like to get involved please do get in touch!

There are just the two jumps meetings today at Doncaster at Fontwell while the flat has a rare day off.  The feature race of the day at Doncaster is the Grade 2 mares hurdle at 2.35pm over three miles.  Marie’s Rock heads the market from West Balboa.  There are only six runners but it promises to be a good race.  In Ireland they have a good jumps card at Naas with Graded action which includes the Limestone Lad hurdle at 2.10pm and good novices chase at 2.45pm.

There was re-arranged point to point action at Larkhill yesterday and today they race at Milborne St Andrew in Dorset.  I know Martin McIntyre has lots of rides so will let you know if he has any winners – he did tell me he would be retiring if he didn’t!!

There are four FA Cup fourth round matches today and we have a morning kick off with West Brom in a derby match against Wolves live on ITV1.  Watford v Southampton is at 2pm while Liverpool are at home to Norwich at 2.30pm again on ITV1.  Our head lad Oliver has taken his son to Anfield today for the match, they are Norwich fans but are looking forward to a stadium tour before-hand so I am sure they will have a memorable day whatever the result!  Manchester United are away to Newport County at 4.30pm and that match is being shown on BBC1 so plenty of footballing action to watch today!

The other big footballing news on Friday was Jurgen Klopp announcing that he will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season which was a major shock.  The 56 year old has done a great job with Liverpool since arriving in 2015 but says he doesn’t have the energy to continue past the end of this season.  Liverpool are still in contention for four trophies so I am sure they will be aiming to have some silverware in the cabinet before he leaves.  He is planning to take some immediate time out from football and has assured Liverpool fans he will never manage another English club.  Rumours are already circulating as to who might be his successor, watch this space!

Do you hate it when people answer their own questions?

I do!!

Have a great Sunday!
