Unfortunately Exeter has fallen foul of the weather today with false patches of ground rendering the track unraceable. I would have thought that the wind would have been more of a concern - it is very exposed up on top of Haldon Hill and it is blowing a gale down this way. Anyway, there is still a jumps card from Catterick and a couple of all-weather flat fixtures from Lingfield and Kempton.

There are three meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Leicester and Wetherby (who have survived an early morning inspection) and an all-weather flat card from Southwell. David has runners at both jumps cards today, so we will start with Leicester where Delface (pictured above) contests the 1m7½f handicap hurdle at 3.50pm. The drop back in trip looks as though it will suit and he has been coming down the weights. He is partnered by Tom Scudamore. Miss Tynte is our Wetherby runner and she goes in the NH novices' hurdle at 4.00pm. She has shown form on soft ground and the weight allowances she receives will come in handy as the ground is heavy at present and by 4.00pm it is going to be extremely testing. David Noonan is in the saddle.

Following the abandonment of Lingfield's National Hunt fixture, there are just two meetings taking place this afternoon with a jumps card from Fakenham and an all-weather flat card from Wolverhampton. There are no runners from Pond House this afternoon but I see that David Noonan is going to Fakenham for just one ride. It is a 50/1 chance and has pulled up on it's last two starts so I don't think I will be employing the 'one ride theory'. It just goes to show, if you want rides you have to be prepared to travel.

Today there are three meetings, two jumps cards at Fontwell and Newcastle plus a flat card at Chelmsford. David does not have any runners but Tom Scu has a ride at Fontwell. I think if you are going to back anything at Fontwell then you always have to have a look at what Gary Moore is running. It is one of his local tracks and he does have a lot of winners there. I also see that Nigel Twiston-Davies goes to Newcastle with only one runner so that could be one to watch! Meanwhile in Ireland they have great prize money on offer at Thurles which have attracted some good fields.

Ramses De Teillee Winner at Chepstow
The good news is that racing goes ahead at Haydock and there are five meetings on today. The other meetings are jumps cards at Ascot and Taunton plus flat cards at Lingfield and Chelmsford. David has two runners at Taunton. In the 1.05pm he runs Drama King, a 2m3f national hunt novice hurdle. He returns from a long break having only had one run in a bumper over 600 days ago. That wasn't a bad bumper at Newbury and the winner of that race, Jenkins is favourite for one of the big races at Ascot today. David Noonan rides our seven year old who should improve for the experience whatever happens this afternoon. David also runs Irish Prince in the 3.25pm novice hurdle over 2 miles. This is his second run over hurdles and he needs to improve on what he did at Newbury last time. Tom Scu goes to Haydock and has picked up some nice spare rides.

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Chepstow and Musselburgh (who need to pass a secondary inspection this morning) as well as all-weather flat cards from Newcastle and Lingfield. David runs Ramses de Teillee (pictured above) in the 2m7½f novices' chase at Chepstow at 2.10pm. He is already a course and distance winner and finished a close runner-up to a subsequent Grade 3 winner last time out at Fontwell. He stays very well and with a clear round he should go close under Tom Scudamore.

David enjoyed a nice winner at Newbury yesterday afternoon when promising young hurdler Friday Night Light landed the 2m handicap hurdle in tenacious fashion under David Noonan. With the runner-up due to go up in future handicaps and the pair clear of the remainder, this looks like solid form and he seems a progressive individual who can go on to better things. There is still a 50% share in him for sale and further details can be found on the 'Horses For Sale' page. Meanwhile, It's Obvious ran well at Market Rasen despite the burden of 12-3 and he looks like a winner waiting to happen.
