It is day two of the Grand National meeting and I can't wait!  Friday is always my favourite day of the Grand National meeting - the girls all turn up in their finery, although there is not usually much of it.  At Liverpool, the Scouse girls certainly seem to believe in the addage "less is more"!  We have four runners at the meeting today - Matuhi, Poole Master, I'm So Lucky and Street Entertainer.  They all look to be very competitive races so we will just have to keep our fingers crossed.

Below you will see a video of Junior completing his last piece of work before tomorrow's Grand National.  As you can see, he is good order and we can't wait until 4.15pm tomorrow.

The stable enjoyed a winner yesterday afternoon at the other meeting, Newton Abbot when Terfel's Toscar landed the 3m3f handicap hurdle under Conor O'Farrell.  I think that a lot of people must have been tyring to get out of trouble on him as there were still plenty of people waiting around in the owner's bar at Aintree after racing and there was an almighty cheer as he held on.  I thought that Conor gave him a good waiting ride and he has now had 32 winners this season and lies second in the conditional jockeys' champinonship.

Back at Aintree, you couldn't help but continue to marvel at Big Buck's who landed his seventeenth successive win in the opening race and in the process beat Sir Ken's record.  He is the best staying hurdler that we are likely to see in our lifetimes.  I saw Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson while we were there and he looked remarkably calm considering his side were beaten the night before by Wigan!

We are staying with Gino and his wife Jeanette during the three days of Aintree and they really look after us.  Gino can get a bit noisy if he backs a winner - I say a bit, but actually he can get very noisy!  We normally head off to Chester tonight after racing and go to the Bar Lounge - it is a really trendy place and we tend to look a bit like The Wild Bunch when we roll up, and a bit out of place!
