The stable has just one runner this afternoon, Ms Cordelia in the mares' maiden hurdle at Fontwell.  Our ex-French mare was handy on the flat in her native country and performed creditably enough at Catterick on her hurdling debut, travelling well for most of the way.  She is sure to know a bit more about the game this afternoon and will be ridden again by Tom Scudamore.

I thought that I was reading a Wild West Story when I noticed the headline "Training setback for Walford as rustlers steal three horses".  They were taken from a locked field in Okeford Fitzpaine in Dorset - the strange thing is that without their passports the horses are worthless...what is more, they would all have been microchipped.  It is difficult to believe that rustling takes place in this day and age - has anyone seen Jessie James?!

Owing to the prevailing dry weather, the closing weeks of the jump trainers' season should certainly be interesting.  The problem for messrs Henderson and Nicholls is that they will not be wanting to risk their best horses on fast ground - I will be fascinated to see how they juggle things around.  At this time I bet they wish they had a whole host of fast ground horses!

Following their 2-0 victory at Blackburn last night, Manchester United have gone 5 points clear at the top of the Premiership.  It certainly looks as though the pressure has got to Man City and I wonder who will be the first manager to go, Mancini or Kenny Dalgleish?  Personally I would like to see Big Sam Allardyce leave the Hammers - he has the team playing the sort of football that the fans aren't interested in seeing.  Apparently, even if West Ham do not gain promotion, he will still be there next season.

For any golfing enthusiasts reading this, I had my fifth hole in one in competition yesterday at Churston Golf Club.  The trouble is, as per tradition, it ended up costing me over £100 at the bar!
