Fiulin Ascot Bound

There are two meetings on this afternoon at Ascot over the jumps and Doncaster on the flat.  The stable has one runner at Ascot, Fiulin in the conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle which looks very competitive with no less than seventeen runners.  Young Tom Bellamy is in the saddle and takes off a handy 5lbs.  I don't think Tom has ridden around Ascot before, so it will certainly be an experience for him riding there.

There are a couple of Premiership football matches on this afternoon that I am looking forward to watching - Newcastle versus Liverpool and Tottenham versus Swansea.  The Spurs game should have some attractive football and Swansea have definitely suprised a few people with their open style of play.  Manager Brendan Rodgers has done a fantastic job with them and surely it will not be long before some of the bigger teams start knocking on his door...he could even get the Spurs job!  Nonetheless, I think they might struggle to get past Harry's boys today.

I can't wait to sit down and watch the Masters from Augusta!  There are only four days to go, although for some unknown reason my wife doesn't share my enthusiasm!  I see that Tiger Woods is favourite after his last success and that makes for a great championship.  I think that the course should suit Rory McIlroy and I would love to see the two of them playing the last round together.
