     Buena Vista at Cheltenham 2011

David has plenty of runners at the Festival today, 14 if you count On Khee in the charity race!  Zaynar, Our Father, Ashkazar, Buena Vista, Great Endeavour, Dynaste, Notus De Latour, Matuhi, Salut Flo, Swing Bill, Faasel, Piraya and Sona Sasta.  The fairy story will be if Buena Vista can win the Pertemps Final again for the third time.  He is a real Cheltenham favourite and it would be a great story is young ten poun claimimng jockey Tom Bellamy could win on the 11 year old.  He will run a big race I am sure but as Ruby Walsh said in the Racing Post the other day, Cheltenham is not Disney!

The form of Grands Crus cannot be right.  He certainly has the beating of Bobsworth.  It looked like he did not stay but I am sure  he does stay and I think we should probably put it down to an off day.  I am pleased to report he seems fine this morning and has already been out for a pick of grass.  Close House ran well in the Neptune novice hurdle to finish fourth at 33/1.  He seemed to stay every yard of the trip he was trying for the first time and I am sure there are many races to be won with him in the future.  Balgarry did not look like he stayed in the Coral Cup and he will win more races maybe when dropped back in distance.  Poole Master is another who will be winning again.  Kazlian finished fourth in the Fred Winter and was not beaten very far and I think this one could end up top class.  All of our runners from yesterday seem to have come home safe and sound which is the main thing.

Lets just hope today the yard can get a winner as its amazing the lift it gives everyone in our marquee and back at Pond House.  It seems a lot of people backed Son of Flicka at fancy prices.  He returned the 16/1 winner of the Coral Cup and I know some clever people had him at 33/1!  James from the office was running around the marquee gloating!  Will Big Bucks win the World Hurdle and break the record?  It will be fantastic for racing if he does but I don't know why I just think he may get beaten today.  I have no idea why, it is just a feeling!

Attheraces presenter Gina Bryce is riding our filly On Khee in a Ladies charity race at 5.15pm at Cheltenham this afternoon, so make sure none of you leave the races early as I am sure this will be a great contest.  Gina has been down riding her at the gallops a few times and she rides well so fingers crossed they have a good run and enjoy the experience.  Gina is pictured above practicing on our Equicisor!
