A new Pipe pops into the world at 3.30am this morning!  David's partner Leanne gave birth to their second child, Sophie Elizabeth this morning, weighing in at 7-4 (thats pounds!).  Both mother and baby are doing well and Leanne should be out of hospital later today.  She tells me that she is planning on attending the Festival...we will have to start up a creche in the marquee!  Congratulations to you both from everyone at Pond House.

The stable has three runners this afternoon at Exeter - Glassawine, Alderluck and Taratata Sivola, all ridden by Tom Scudamore.  It looks to be a wide open card and it should be a nice spring day at the Devon track for racegoers.

I thought that both of our runners at Hereford performed creditably yesterday.  Trop Fort finished a close second while Terfel's Toscar finished fourth having led into the straight.   This was Trop Fort's best run since coming over from France and he looked the likeliest winner turning for home, but the 2m4f trip just seemed to find him out and he was run out of it late on.  Terfel's Toscar had his first outing since April 2010 and put up a promising performance - if he can build on this he should be winning before too long.

There was a great Tweet from American golfer John Daly to new world number one Rory McIlroy that said "Congrats Rory on being number one - I am only 298 behind you!".  It's good to see that the "Wild Thing" still has a sense of humour.

Has anyone been watching Coronation Street lately?  Who killed Frank Foster?  My wife is a big fan of Corrie and she tells me that there are about six people in the frame, although she is adamant that Frank's mother did it...sadly I can't find any betting on it!
