It looks like being an exciting weekend's action and the stable is well represented by eight runners this afternoon (five at Chepstow and three at Kempton) and another three at Fontwell tomorrow.  Laflammedeglorie, Wings Of Icarus, Shallow Bay, Dream Esteem and Bladoun do battle for us at Chepstow, while Arrayan, Consigliere and Ashbrittle compete at Kempton.  The Racing Plus Chase at Kempton looks to be a cracker (and so it should be for £100,000!) - it is a competitive day's racing, but we look to have several with decent chances so let's hope for a winner or two.

While David's string continues in good form, it is interesting to see that a number of the big stables have had their share of disappointing runners.  Despite still sending out plenty of winners, some of Nicky Henderson's well fancied runners have run below par without any obvious reason why...these are certainly tense times for trainers as the Festival draws ever nearer.

Talking of the Festival, we had Alice Plunkett and the Channel 4 Racing cameras down at the yard filming a piece for inclusion at the Cheltenham Festival meeting.  They were talking with David, Martin, Tom and Peter Scu and it should certainly make for interesting viewing.

I expect David will have a few sleepless nights and be on tenterhooks this weekend as his second child is due on Monday.  Just think, more nappies for David to change...he is the real modern man!

I have three odds-on football bets that I will be incorporating into a multiple this weekend - they are Manchester City, Newcastle and Chelsea.  They are all short prices, but I would be surprised if they didn't win.
