It looks to be a good day's jump racing again today with action from Sandown, Newcastle and Wincanton. We have one runner at Sandown (I'm So Lucky ridden by Conor O'Farrell) and three at Wincanton (Consigliere, Star Of Angels and The Pier). It is good to see I'm So Lucky back after a break of nearly 300 days - he was last seen showing up well for a long way in the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last March and has his first start over hurdles since May 2008. The Pier makes his debut for the stable having won on the flat and over hurdles back in Ireland and he starts in the handicap hurdle although the official assessor appears to have taken few chances with a rating of 122.

I was sat watching Attheraces on Tuesday afternoon and saw Matt Chapman conduct quite an interesting interview with David about his big guns (including the likes of Grands Crus, Dynaste and Great Endeavour to mention but a few) for the remainder of the season. With their kind permission we have reproduced it on our website and it can be found in our media vault or viewed by clicking here.

It makes you feel old when the young jockey's such as Brendan Powell Jnr says that he has to use the train to get to Sandown as he can't drive yet. Why is it that as you get older jockeys and policemen start to look younger and younger?!

It's the third round of the FA Cup this afternoon and the competition regularly throws up a few surprises. The one's that look interesting are Fleetwood versus Blackpool and Daggenham and Redbridge versus Millwall (that one promises to be a real East London battle in every sense of the word!). I think I will be having a small treble on Brighton, Fulham and Middlesborough.

I see that they are still going on about the result of the Amir Khan fight of a few weeks ago. Who was the mystery man who was sitting next to one of the judges? I don't know why they don't just sort out a rematch..afterall, Peterson thought that he won the fight fair and square so why should he be afraid to fight him again?
