Well I hope you all enjoyed a fantastic Christmas day and ate and drank plenty like I did?!  As much as I like Christmas day itself I do like Boxing day even more! It looks a cracking days racing with nine meetings in this country and three in Ireland.  The yard has plenty of runners and we are even over in Ireland with one runner today, Notus De La Tour.  Notus is ridden by Robbie Power and although it is a competitive race he is in good form, he will love the ground and we are hoping for a good run.  I spoke to our lorry over there this morning and they had a good journey across on Saturday and have been looked after very well by Leopardstown and have enjoyed a great Christmas day!  There is some fantastic racing action to look forward to at Kempton and Grands Crus seems very well at home and we are looking forward to seeing him in action in the Feltham Novice's chase at 2.00pm.  It is a very competitive race with Bobsworth and Silviniaco Conti both high class performers so fingers crossed for a great contest with our super grey coming out on top!

The feature race of the day is the King George and it looks a very interesting race.  Can Long run beat Kauto Star this time?  He should be fit enough after his run at Haydock so there will be no excuses.  My head is saying Long Run will win but it would be truly memorable if Kauto Star were to win his fifth King George, imagine the recpetion he will get.  I am also interested to see if Binocular can bounce back to form in the Christmas hurdle and beat Overturn or will maybe Rock on Ruby spoil the party?!

The runner of David's I am most loking forward to seeing is Big Occasion at Huntingdon.  Its the first ride back for Christiam Williams since his terrible injury of breaking both arms over a year ago and it would be could to get him back witha winner!  Our gelding was a nice winner over three miles at Chepstow on his hurdling debut and he was a very classy horse on the flat, he looks to have a great chance this afternoon and that is my Christmas present to you all!

David sends two runners to Towcester with Johnny Farrelly in the saddle on both.  They both look to have good chances with Battle Group looking to go one place better than on his chasing debut at Wetherby last time.  Prasina Russata is making his debut under rules in the concluding Bumper.  He finished second in an Irish point to point and that experience should stand him in good stead this afternoon.  We also have two runners at Ffos Las where Swing Bill has to carry top weight in the valuable handicap chase and El Lobo makes his debut for the yard also in a handicap chase.  Conor O'Farrell is in the saddle on both of these runners.  David now has four runners at Wincanton with the withdrawal of Shoegazer and Decoy from the 1.40pm race.  This leave two runners Ashkazar and Buena Vista in the Pertemps Qualifier and then our runners are completed by Shaking Hands and Kilrye at this track.  Shaking Hands was a great second at Exeter last time out and Kilrye also makes his debut for the yard having finshed second in and Irish Bumper.  Hadden Frost rides both of these horses.  David has twelve runners around the country and in Ireland today so there is lots to look forward to and with the Welsh National to look forward to tomorrow the action is non-stop!  Check back here tomorrow for news of todays action and a look ahead to what runs during the rest of the week.  Have a great day and enjoy the action.
