Today we head to Hereford with two runners and we are aiming to bookend the card with a runner in the first and a runner in the last races!  Harley's Pride makes her hurdling debut in the 12.15pm novices hurdle over 2m3f and Jack Tudor rides.  Our five year old finished fourth in a bumper in Ireland and then sixth for us at Southwell on her only start last season.  She stayed on strongly to the line that day after initially getting outpaced and jockey Martin McIntyre had trouble pulling her up!  Today looks a good starting point and while she may want further in time she has schooled well at home and it will be good to get her on the track.  There is a couple of useful looking rivals in opposition today so it will be tough but it wouldn't be a total surprise if she could sneak into a place.

Indulto Rouge makes his Pond House debut in the concluding bumper on the card at 3.45pm with Jack on board.  He was the very impressive winner of his only start in an Irish point to point and he is a horse we have high hopes for.  This is a very competitive little race and while we are the current favourite there are some dangers lurking.  Our fella goes nicely at home and will like the ground although the track may a little on the sharp side for him but it looks a good starting point and he should run well.

As well as jumps racing at Hereford they also have a jumps meeting at Southwell today.  There are two flat meetings, an early Lingfield card which gets underway at 11am and a later card at Wolverhampton where the first race is 4.30pm.  In Ireland there is one jumps meeting at Tramore.

Yesterday, Parchment was very disappointing at Kempton.  The only thing I would say is that it comes in the category of too bad to be true.  He did not show up for some reason, nothing obvious has come to light just yet but we will see how he is in the coming days.  He has the form in the book and goes very nicely at home so back to the drawing board and he will be back.

It was a bad night for me watching the football last night with Manchester United losing to Everton 1-0 at home.  I don't mind losing but it is the manner of the loss and playing so badly which I don't like!  Champions League football action returns this evening and Chelsea are at home to Barcelona while Manchester City are at home to Bayer Leverkusen.  Newcastle are away at Marseille.

I accidentally swallowed a bunch of scrabble tiles.

My nest trip to the bathroom could spell disaster!

Have a good day!
