      Lynne Webb Birthday Celebrations

There are two jumps meetings today at Kempton and Sedgefield but with the ground fairly quick at both places, there are not very big field sizes at either fixture.  Racing gets underway at Kempton at 1.46pm and this novices handicap hurdle has the biggest field size of any jumps race on the day with nine runners!  The rest of the races have six or less at Kempton while at Sedgefield that is their maximum field size for there seven race card.  It is a bit sad to see at this time of year when the jumps action should be in full flow but as we know with the lack of any significant rain in a long time, there is not much we can do about it.  The stable does not have any runners today and we are keeping everything cross that some rain arrives soon.

There is no flat racing in Britain today but in Ireland they have a flat fixture at Leopardstown and the jumps action comes from Limerick.  There is also quite a good flat card at Longchamp this afternoon as well with some British and Irish interest.

Wishing owner Lynne Webb a very happy birthday for the other day, I hope you had a good night!  Also, personal apologies to Lynne for myself and Leanne not being there.  David received a text just after 8.30pm on Friday evening asking where we were, we had got the wrong night!  I must just say fair play to David, Jack and Pete however who jumped straight in the car and headed down to Newton Abbott get there about 10pm!  It reminded him of his younger days when you used to go out clubbing at that time!

There are two Premiership football matches this afternoon, the first of these is Spurs against Villa at 2pm and Manchester United travel to Anfield to play Liverpool at 4.30pm.

Rain interrupted the men's T20 cricket match between New Zealand and England yesterday and the England women are in action today against India at 10.30am.  They are looking to bounce back from a poor performance against Pakistan in their last match.

It is the US Grand Prix in Austin Texas today while in rugby action, Exeter Chiefs are at home this afternoon to Harlequins at 3pm.  It is the last round of the India Championship golf in Delhi today Tommy Fleetwood and Shane Lowry are leading the way for the Europeans and so hopefully one of them can come out on top and win the trophy.

The second season of Champions: Full Gallop

My friend accused me of stealing their thesaurus.

Not only was I shocked, but I was appalled aghast and dismayed.

Happy Sunday!
