It's another glorious day in the sunshine and the jumps action comes from Perth which is the sole meeting in Britain today, there is plenty of action coming from the flat which is at Haydock, Yarmouth, Newbury and all-weather action at Kempton. In Ireland, there is racing over both codes with jumping at Tipperary and a flat card at Bellewstown. The stable have no runners today.

Yesterday afternoon we were at Worcester, Jaipaletemps didn't quite run in the same form as last time, maybe the step up in trip didn't quite suit him as much. Chemical Warfare was running well for a long way and he looked to appreciate the return to fences, he may head off for a little break now. Hammer Dan was unlucky again to miss out on going one better than his last effort and finished another good second, I'm sure his winning ways will return soon.

Jockey Josh Halford enjoyed his first British success for Gordon Elliot yesterday at Worcester, his 7lb claim helped the offset of the topweight's double penalty and the combination won nicely. It was the Bowen brothers in full action yesterday also, as James snatched victory from Sean on Village Master in the second race on the card for trainer Warren Greatrex, it was a thrilling finish between the two boys.

Yesterday in the Wimbledon action, Emma Raducanu produced one of her best displays in recent times to sweep aside 2023 champion Marketa Vondrousova and now reaches the third round of the competition. It looked to produce a surreal atmosphere in the centre court and she will now need to replicate or reproduce the same efforts when meeting next opponent Aryna Sabalenka.
