We've reached the middle of the week and at last a small bit of much needed rain! It is a much quieter day for the jumps action, with only Warwick today providing the action. The flat cards come from Ayr, Chepstow, and Brighton this evening alongside an all-weather card at Kempton tonight. In Ireland, it is another day of flat action coming from Gowran Park. The stable have no runners today.

Yesterday we were at Southwell with two runners, Nini Star made another pleasing improvement to finish fourth, she kept galloping all the way to the line and was only beaten a head for third. Another step in the right direction and I can see her improving even further over a longer distance in the future. Micronormous looked to travel early enough in the race and was jumping well overall, she did get slightly hampered on the bend. We know she's better than this, maybe a change of headgear and slightly quicker ground would suit.

Yesterday it was an important day for trainer, Charlie Fellowes and jockey, Kieran Shoemark who were in Paris for the appeal of the result of the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches (French 1,000 Guineas). The stables runner She’s Perfect, was handed second place in the race after finishing first past the post in a stewards enquiry and the result has landed some up roar across the industry.

A good day for Martin Keighley yesterday, as Duke Of Luckley made it a hattrick of wins after returning from a break at Southwell under a great front running ride from James Best. The win was even more memorable as the horse ran in the silks of the late BHA Chair Joe Saumarez Smith, who's memorial service took place on Monday.

When you look for something, why is it always in the last place you look?

Because when you find it, you stop looking!

Have a great Wednesday!
