Micronormous runs today
The jumps action is back today and it is a busy day as cards come from Southwell, Hexham and Huntingdon. The flat cards come from Lingfield and Nottingham. While in Ireland, the racing comes from the flat at Cork.
We are back racing today and we head to Southwell with two runners for a girl's evening out! Nini Star runs in the 4:20pm Mares’ Maiden Hurdle over 1mile 7f with Jack Tudor riding. She put her disappointing hurdling debut well behind her and showed a big step in the right direction at Worcester last time out. If she can build on that effort going forward, then she should run well.
We then run Micronormous in the 5:25pm Handicap Hurdle over 3miles with Jack Tudor again in the saddle. She comes here today after having wind surgery and she did run well last time out to finish second at Exeter over the bigger obstacles, she returns to hurdling today and she is in good form at home.
Last night in the football action, Premier League champions Liverpool slipped up a couple of times and Brighton fought back in style to gain a victory of 3-2 which boosts their slim hopes of securing European football next season. Tonight the football action continues at 8pm with Crystal Palace vs. Wolverhampton and Man City vs. AFC Bournemouth.
