        Ocean Heights run at Doncaster

The weekend is back around again, the jumps cards today come from Bangor-On-Dee this afternoon with an evening card at Uttoxeter. Plenty of flat action continues with meetings coming from Newbury, Newmarket, Thirsk and Doncaster tonight. In Ireland, they race over both codes with jumping at Wexford and a flat card at Navan.

We are back with runners over both codes today. We start with Old Bridge at Bangor-On-Dee who runs in the 3:30pm Maiden Hurdle over 2miles with Jack Tudor on board. He makes his stable debut for Pond House and has placed formed in Ireland. He has settled in well at home and goes nicely so looking forward to seeing him out.

We also head to Doncaster with Ocean Heights who runs in the 5:35pm Apprentice Handicap over 1mile 3f with Jack Dace riding. He was not beaten all that far last time out at Windsor and kept galloping onto the line, so I am sure he can build on that here.

The Group 1 Lockinge Stakes at 2:35pm is the highlight of the week and last year’s Irish 2,000 Guineas and St James’s Palace Stakes winner Rosallion is on course to make his reappearance. Dancing Gemini has race-fitness on his side and it looks to be a cracking race with Notable Speech even amongst the line-up.

Over in France, Hewick is bidding to go one better than last years’ second in the Grande Course de Haies d’Auteuil which takes place at 3:25pm. The British representative comes from the Paul Nicholls’ yard with Monmiral and Harry Cobden making the trip over.

The FA Cup takes centre stage on the football today, with Crystal Palace vs. Man City with a kick off time at 4:30pm.
