Punchestown Day 1

The flat action continues today and the action comes from Nottingham and Brighton, with the all-weather card coming from Wolverhampton tonight. You can cast your eye on some jumps action as the Punchestown Festival begins over in Ireland with their late afternoon card, which is the sole meeting over in Ireland.

Last night we were at Windsor with Ocean Heights, he didn't quite come out the stalls all that fluent which put him a little on the back marker, but he wasn't beaten all that far in the end and was running on strongly to the line. 

The Champion Chase takes place on Punchestown’s opening card and features a match-up between Cheltenham winners Fact To File and Marine Nationale which aims to be the showpiece and will be off and running at 6:00pm and there is six of them taking the field. 

It was a good afternoon for Hollie Doyle as she tallied up a treble at Lingfield yesterday. The one-time Derby entry Educator ended a 20-race winless run since scoring in the royal silks at Newmarket in April 2022. Now trained by Henrietta Knight it was nice to see her back in the winners enclosure. 

I'm trying out a new diet, it's called the seafood diet.

I see the food and I eat it!
