After a quiet day for the jumping action on Good Friday, all the action returns today for a busy Saturday. The jumps cards come from Haydock, Carlisle, Huntingdon and Newton Abbot. The flat action comes from Musselburgh and an all-weather card this evening at Wolverhampton. In Ireland, they race over both codes with jumping at Fairyhouse and a flat card at Cork.
There are no runners for the stable today but the main features come from Musselburgh with its big flat card of the year, which is headline by the £100,000 Virgin Bet Queen’s Cup at 3:35pm. The meeting was dramatically abandoned on the morning of race day last year.
Haydock also has a good card, hosting two Challenger Series finals and the Unibet Middle Distance Veterans’ Series final, which takes place at 3:15pm and has 10 runners taking the field.
Away from the racing, the Premier League action kicks off at 3pm with games coming from Brentford vs. Brighton, Crystal Palace vs. Bournemouth, Everton vs. Man City and West Ham vs. Southampton. The later game comes from Aston Villa vs. Newcastle at 5:30pm.
