It's a quiet day for jump racing with no meetings scheduled, the all-weather action continues and takes the limelight today. The meetings come from Newcastle, Lingfield and Chelmsford and it is a quiet day in Ireland, with no racing scheduled either.

Yesterday we were at Ffos Las with Eton Mes who was making his stable debut for Pond House and he ran well, kept galloping to the line and I think he'll improve even further when he does go over the obstacles.

One jockey who has earned his day off today is Sean Bowen, as he rode his first ever 5-timer at Ffos Las last night. He is currently leading the Jump Jockeys championship and next Saturday will pick up the prize so it was great for him to achieve the 5-timer last night. He is due to have a ban over the weekend, but mentioned on Sky Sports he's set to make the trip to Ireland to ride Haiti Couleur for Rebecca Curtis who is a well fancied shout for the Irish Grand National and that would certainly top his season off!

It is a busy day in Lambourn and Middleham today, as they host their yearly open days and allow yards to open up to the public. The Lambourn one was cancelled last year due to the wet weather so they'll be glad to give this year the go ahead! It really is a great family day out and I would recommend to anyone if you haven't been before!

The trainers title is still very much to play for with Dan Skelton still taking favour, Willie Mullins is set to take a few runners to Plumpton on Sunday so it's all still to play for with a small margin between them! It's always great to see a battle go down to the line and it'll be interesting to see which way this year pans out.

What do you say to a rabbit on its birthday?

Hoppy Birthday!

Have a great Good Friday whatever you're up to!
