Cheltenham & Ffos Las

      River Run Free runs today!
The racing action today comes from Cheltenham and Ffos Las this evening who has arranged an extra 2-day meeting in relation to Taunton and Wincanton losing their meetings this week due to the firm ground everywhere. The flat action comes from Beverley and Newmarket with no all-weather action. In Ireland, they are back racing at Gowran Park with a flat card.

Today we head to two meetings firstly we are at Cheltenham with American Sniper who runs in the 2:05pm Handicap Hurdle over 2miles 4f with James Davies riding. He made all last time out at the Festival in the Pertemps final and ran a cracker holding every chance turning for home but just faded up the hill. It's another competitive race here today but back to calmer waters may suit.  

We then head onto Ffos Las this evening with two runners River Run Free who will be ridden by Jack Tudor and Shot Boii will be ridden by Fergus Gillard, they both run in the 7:15pm Handicap Chase over 2miles 7f. They would both appreciate any rainfall that we do get and I can see them both running a nice race.

Yesterday we were at Kempton with Ocean Heights and he travelled well throughout and kept galloping all the way to the line. It was another solid effort and I think dropping down to a lower grade will see him back to his winning ways soon!

Last night in the football, Aston Villa 3-2 PSG which led to Aston Villa threatening to pull off a stunning comeback against rivals before going out of the Champions League with PSG reaching the semi-finals on a 5-4 aggregate win. Borussia Dortmund could also not reach the semi-finals with Barcelona winning on a 5-3 aggregate win. The Premier League action continues tonight with Newcastle vs. Crystal Palace at 7:30pm.
