We have reached the middle of the week and the racing action is coming from Taunton, which is the only jumps card in Britain. The flat action comes from Nottingham and Catterick with all-weather action coming from Kempton this evening. In Ireland, there is a flat card at Leopardstown.
After a slight quiet spell we are back with one runner at Taunton, Kintaro runs in the 3:25pm Handicap Hurdle over 2miles with Ben Bromley riding. He ran well enough at Exeter last time out and he has come out of the race well so we have decided to let him take his chance again. He will enjoy the better ground and will be able to provide the racing club another good day out hopefully!
I did notice on the Taunton card, there is a Novice Hurdle at 2:55pm which is named rightly so after Champion Hurdle winner Golden Ace. The race is called the “Who Dares Wins” Golden Ace Novices’ Hurdle and 7 of them take the line-up.
The UEFA Champions League action last night left the results of Arsenal 3-0 Real Madrid. Arsenal have not reached the semi-finals stage of the Champions League since the 2008-09 season, but they've given themselves a good chance of progressing to the last four with this result. Bayern Munich 1-2 Inter Milan and the result also ended Bayern's 22-match unbeaten home run in the Champions League. Tonight it continues with the matches coming from Barcelona vs. Dortmund and PSG vs. Aston Villa both kick off at 8pm.
I had a joke about paper today, but it was tearable!
Have a great Wednesday!
