It's another bright and sunny day and there is more action on today to get us through. The jumps cards come from Fakenham and Kempton in Britain, with the all-weather action coming from Lingfield this afternoon and ending with an all-weather card at Wolverhampton tonight. They are back racing in Ireland, with an evening card at Limerick.
No runners for the stable today, but declarations for the opening day at Aintree close at 10am this morning with four Grade 1s set to kick off the card. The Grand National field took a clearer shape after six horses were removed in the latest confirmation stage. The final showpiece will be decided when declarations are made on Thursday morning.
Bryony Frost will not be making the trip over to Aintree to ride in the Grand National aboard intended mount Stay Away Fay for previous boss Paul Nicholls, as she has mentioned she can not travel over from France as planned. To replace her, Jonathon Burke has now been booked for the ride.
In more jockey booking news, Sean Bowen has been snapped up by Gordon Elliot to ride his most leading fancy in the national with his usual jockey Jack Kennedy out of action, Three Card Brag which could turn Sean's brilliant season into a superb one! The horse managed to sneak into the race after six were removed and is now 32 on the list and guaranteed a run.
Lossiemouth is set to take on Constitution Hill at Aintree with Brighterdaysahead set to swerve and head to Punchestown. The team have mentioned that Aintree has just come a little too quick after Cheltenham but to add things into the mix, Cheltenham festival winner, Wodhooh could feature instead!
My horoscope says today is your lucky day...
Then I remembered it's April Fools!
Have a great Tuesday!
