The good news is that Wincanton has passed it's morning inspection and racing goes ahead so we have some jumps action to watch this afternoon.  Further good news is that Sandown has also passed it's inspection this morning ahead of racing on Saturday, they will race as planned with hurdles and chases.  They had provisionally put in place an all chase card, with the going being better on that track which was great initiative in case they had to cancel the hurdle races but it is great they can run their normal schedule.

Today we just have the one runner at Wincanton, Harry Junior who runs in the 1.55pm novices hurdle and Jack Tudor rides.  Ocean Heights was due to run on the flat at Southwell but he is now a non-runner.  Harry Junior is having his second start over hurdles, he ran well in a bumper at Chepstow on career debut but did not run quite as well as hoped first time over hurdles at Ffos Las last time.  He is a nice long term prospect but I hopefully he can take a step forward today.

Wincanton is the only jumps fixture in Britain and Ireland today but there are two all-weather flat cards at Southwell and Chelmsford this evening.

Last night in the football there were wins for Aston Villa, Manchester City and Arsenal but Liverpool lost 3-2 away to PSV.  All five British teams are through to the next league stages of the Champions League.  Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa are in the last 16 while Manchester City are in the play off matches alongside Celtic.  Manchester United and Spurs are in Europa League action this evening.

When do people start using their trampolines more?

Spring time!

Have a good day!
