It's a new week and there has been plenty of exciting action over the weekend, the jumps cards today come from Warwick and Ayr. The all-weather action is coming from Kempton and Wolverhampton. There is no racing in Ireland today and no runners for the stable.

The stable had plenty of runners over the weekend, at Taunton Seymourjohn didn't jump as fluently as he perhaps can, but he ran another solid race to finish third on his hurdling debut under rules. Both Kintaro and Dindin ran well enough to not get involved within the business end of the race. Yggdrasil looked to jump to his left a few times but ran ok and may prefer a slightly softer surface. Johannes made his return from a small break and ran ok and may even prefer a better surface.

Up in Haydock, Thanksforthehelp ran a much more promising race and did get a little short of room around 4 out, but it was a step in the right direction for him and he may appreciate further in trip within time. Yesterday at Fakenham, Micronormous looked to be making good headway when unfortunately slipping, thankfully she is all ok. After being knocked out and a little battered and bruised, thankfully Gearoid will make a full recovery and will be allowed out of hospital shortly. These jockeys really are made of strong stuff!

At this time of the year most trainers are looking towards Cheltenham and the festival and one trainer who will certainly be doing that is Dan Skelton after Protektorats performance in the Fleur De Lys Chase at Windsor yesterday. It was an almighty win and strengthens up his claims for a repeat triumph in the Ryanair Chase in March.

It was an exciting clash between Jonbon and Energumene at the weekend with Jonbon putting in an impressive performance to come out on top. He looked very exuberant over his fences and Nico did mention in his interview he was a little bit more fresh than usual! The Seven Barrows star could now be facing the Champion Chase at the festival.

I was at the park wondering why this frisbee kept getting bigger and bigger...

Then it hit me!

Have a great Monday!
