Fighter Allen runs at Wadebridge Point-to-Point Today

There is no jumps racing in Britain today Kelso was abandoned a few days ago and the all-weather action is coming from Lingfield. There is jumps action coming from Punchestown, in Ireland though to keep you busy!

Although no runners under rules, the stable is busy today with three runners at Wadebridge point to point. Fighter Allen runs in the conditions race at 12:05pm and he will be looking to go one better this time after finishing second on his first pointing run. Rian Corcoran will take the ride.  Sidi Ismael runs in the Mixed Open at 12:40pm and will have come on a lot from his latest start where he pulled up, but he would have needed that. Lukke Morris takes the ride.  Lastly, for us, making his pointing debut for the stable is Royal Defender who runs in the 1:50pm the Restricted. He is lightly raced under rules and has won a point to point. Returning to this could be the trick just to freshen him up a little. He has been off since April last year so he may need the run. Martin McIntyre takes the ride.  The weather is definitely a little warmer in the South West than it was and we are looking forward to having two runners at Exeter on Monday and racing returning to a little normality this week, fingers crossed!

Over in Ireland, Kicking King, Vautor and Douvan are some of the classy winners to come out from the Grade 2 Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle, which takes place at 2:25pm, and Willie Mullins leads the betting with Salvator Mundi who currently holds favourite in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at the Festival.

What tree can fit in your hand?

A palm tree of course!
