The racing action today comes from Uttoxeter and Fontwell both with jumps cards, while there is flat action coming from Southwell on the all-weather. They are back racing in Ireland today with a jumps card coming from Punchestown. It is a quiet day for the stable with no runners.
Yesterday we were at Lingfield with the one runner, Shot Boii who ran another solid race to finish third, he jumped well and just weakened slightly on the run in but kept galloping to the line. He puts his all into his runs, I'm sure it won't be long before he can be back to winning ways.
Jump Jockey Sean Bowen reached a milestone yesterday as he achieved his 100th winner of the season so far and looks to keep adding to it as he bids for his first Champion Jockey title this season, he currently leads the table and is 5 ahead of Harry Skelton, his closest rival.
The entries for Windsor this Sunday are out and there is 171 of them! The track will hold their first jumps meeting since 2005, a newly configured jumps course has been formulated, differing from the figure of eight lay out for the flat. Last month, they hosted a gallops morning for trainers and jockeys to test out the new track and welcomed any changes that needed to be done which slight alterations have come from that. I've been to Windsor a few times for an evening flat fixture and it's a lovely course, so it's great to hear that jumps racing will be back there and hopefully it can be a success!
Which is faster, hot or cold?
Hot, because you can catch a cold!
Happy Tuesday!
