Chemical Warfare wins at Sedgefield!
The rain doesn't seem to be holding off exactly like we thought it would be so it's another wet start to the day, but there is racing action from Exeter with the only jumps card in Britain, but plenty of flat action across the day at Bath, Ayr, Chelmsford and Southwell. In Ireland, they race over both codes with the jumps coming from Tramore and the flat action at Thurles.
Today we head just down the road to Exeter with a busy day with three runners who all run in the same race the 4:08pm Handicap Hurdle over 2miles ½f. Kintaro will be ridden by Martin McIntyre and he runs in the colours of the David Pipe Racing Club he ran well last time out on ground that would've probably been a little softer than ideal for him but it doesn't seem like the rain has caused much concern in the going at Exeter, so the conditions should suit him today.
African Lady will be ridden by Jack Tudor, she jumped and travelled well last time out, but was pulled up as Jack thought she lost her action a little, but she's been fine since then and will need to step it up a gear today. Our last runner is Stray Bullet with Gearoid Harney riding, he comes into this after a long summers break he's a winner in france and hasn't shown much up to date over hurdles, but shows plenty at home.
Yesterday we made the long trip to Sedgefield again with two runners, Chemical Warfare relished being back at the course after being a course and distance winner and it was good to see him back that up again with another win! He's a lovely horse and tallied up his fourth win of the season and there is plenty of more fun to be had with him. Pub Crawl didn't quite make it a double on the day but he ran a career best when finishing second only beaten a length. This was a great step in the right direction and hopefully he will continue this as he's more than capable of it.
Why did the frog take the bus to work?
Because his car got toad!
Happy Thursday!
