No runners for the stable today and this looks to be the quiet build up for us before the season kicks off towards the end of the week, but the racing action comes from Huntingdon which has the only jumps card in Britain and on the flat there are meetings at Leicester, Brighton and Southwell. In Ireland, there is jumps action at Galway where the beginners chase at 4:15pm will be worth watching as three years ago it was won by Grand National hero Noble Yeats.

Yesterday we had Only Fools run at Stratford and things didn't quite go to plan for her, she was never really travelling as well as she normally does and Gearoid had to work on her early on to keep her in the race. This was a run after a short break and I'm sure she will be back to her best in no time.

The weekend is looking full of action with the entries at Chepstow and there are some big names hoping to make their appearance for their first runs back. The ever so popular Kitty's Light is set to make a return and make his long road towards Grand National glory once again. It'll be great to see some of the big names back and it means the winter season is well underway!

It's been a good 48 hours for Rossa Ryan after his excellent success in Paris winning the Arc aboard the Ralph Beckett trained Bluestocking, he was back in the winners enclosure on his first ride back in Britain at Pontefract.

What do you call a chicken that is staring at a lettuce?

Chicken sees a salad!

Happy Tuesday!
