The jumps action continues at Perth today, while Newmarket, Pontefract and Southwell are the flat meetings on today. In Ireland, the Harvest Festival continues at Listowel with day 5. No runners for the stable today and if the weather does what it says it could, it could be a quiet few days!

The Kerry National took to everyone's eye yesterday at Listowel as the race itself was a hugely competitive one, with many horses involved who had encountered Grade 1 success in the past. Flooring Porter took the victory and a staggering victory it was, it was looked to be one of the most competitive running's of the race but it soon threatened to turn into a procession as Flooring Porter built up a dozen-length lead as they passed the post for the second time and added this victory to his ever evolving CV. The horse is owned by the Flooring Porter Syndicate who certainly looked to have enjoyed the victory!

Yesterday at Perth, Sean Bowen finished the first day of the two day meeting with a successful day recording a 4 timer from his 6 rides. All the victories came from one of his biggest supporters in the Olly Murphy yard and it provided Sean to be 3 in front of Harry Skelton in the Jockeys' Championship with the winter season set to take off shortly, which after a frustrating season for him last season he will be keen to strike for gold this time round. The action continues at Perth today and Sean goes into the day with just the 2 rides.

Last night in the English League Cup, Arsenal took to victory with a 5-1 victory over Bolton and teenager Ethan Nwaneri scored his first Arsenal goals providing 2 on the day. He became the youngest player in Premier League history 2022 when he made his debut for Arsenal as a substitute at the age of 15. Liverpool also had a 5-1 victory over West Ham and Liverpool will now go to Brighton in the fourth round on the week beginning 28th October.

Why should you never date a baker?
