        Chemical Warfare runs today!
It was an action packed weekend with plenty going on. It was Franny Norton's last day in the saddle at Chester on Saturday as he now retires from riding. He had a booked day of rides and it was a fairy tale finale as he walked away with a treble on his final day.

Franny Norton was not the only legend of racing to retire the weekend as Not So Sleepy ran his last race at Newbury on Saturday which also resulted in a win! He's been a horse that has provided so much character, he's one of those horses who appeared rarely but when he did he always returned with such enthusiasm. A 12 year-old now his connections felt it was the right time to give him a well deserved retirement and going out on a win is certainly one way to go!

The jumps action comes from Sedgefield and the flat action is to come from Hamilton and Wolverhampton with Leicester being abandoned due to the wet weather and waterlogging. In Ireland, they race on the flat at two meetings which are Listowel and Fairyhouse.

We make the long trip to head to Sedgefield with one runner today, Chemical Warfare who runs in the 4:50pm Handicap Chase over 3miles 2 1/2f with Jack Tudor in the saddle. He ran another solid race last time out at Worcester to finish 4th and he's been in fine form so fingers crossed he can keep that up and go well today.

Over in the football the Premier League action continued on Saturday with Chelsea 3-0 West Ham Utd and Man U finishing on a 0-0 result to Crystal Palace. Yesterday Arsenal and Man City also finished on a drawing result of 2-2.

In the Boxing over the weekend Anthony Joshua two-time world heavyweight champion was defeated at the hands of fellow Briton Daniel Dubois at Wembley. It was a fourth career defeat for Anthony Joshua. Plenty of sparks flew as people now comment on whether or not Joshua should continue his boxing career altogether.

What did the left eye say to the right eye?

Between us, something smells!

Happy Monday!
