Two at Newton Abbot!

We are back in action today with two runners at Newton Abbot where the sole jumps meeting is held in Britain, on the flat there are meetings at Newbury, Ayr and Kempton. In Ireland, there is action over both codes with jumping action coming from Downpatrick and the flat at Dundalk. 

Our first runner of the afternoon is Astro Babe who runs in the 2:10pm Maiden Hurdle over 2miles 5 1/2f with Jack Tudor in the saddle. She made her stable debut for us in July where she was a little exuberant and never got into a rhythm. I think she'll suit better today with a step up in trip. 

In the 4:25pm second division of the Handicap Hurdle over 2miles 1f we run Pub Crawl with Jack Tudor in the saddle. Last time out he missed the start a little bit and was on the back foot from then, he has ability there but is a little quirky sometimes and maybe doesn't quite show fully what we think he is capable of. 

Plenty of eyes will be at Southwell today, not with any racing action but spectators will be present as Aidan O'Brien ups City Of Troy's preparation for the Breeders' Cup Classic. He is set to gallop over a mile with speedy stablemates and a "hell-for-leather" gallop and American stalls are all part of the plan to prepare him for the conditions. He's set to gallop at 3:30pm this afternoon and will be watchable from Sky Sports Racing/YouTube.
