            Bashful Boy runs today!
There is a mixture of action to watch today with Jumps racing at Fontwell and plenty of flat action at Ffos Las, Thirsk, Sandown, Southwell and Salisbury. In Ireland, they race over the obstacles at Wexford and Down Royal.

We head to Fontwell with two runners today. Saucats runs in the 5:00pm Juvenile Maiden Hurdle over 2miles 1½f with Jack Tudor in the saddle. Saucats makes his stable debut for us today and his debut over in Britain after running a handful of times in France. He has settled in well to life at Pond House since arriving and he has been placed over in France. But I am sure we will learn some more about him today.

In the race after we have Bashful Boy in the 5:35pm Handicap Hurdle over 2miles 5½f with Jack Tudor in the saddle. He ran over jumps at Uttoxeter back in July and when things started to quicken up he just could not quite find the turn of foot to go with them, but he is a versatile type who has form on the flat so hopefully, the blinkers fitted today may also help him out a little.

Yesterday we headed to Ffos Las with two runners on the flat. Final Entry came out of the stalls ok, but was never really travelling or in a rhythm, but will certainly appreciate a further distance. Mr Tambourine Man also didn't really get into a rhythm like you would've hoped and did stumble with a circuit to go which didn't help but would certainly prefer much better ground. But they will both have other days out in them in the future for sure.

Yesterday was the finale of the racing league and the Wales & The West came out the worthy winners and regained their crown after Saffie Osborne provided a 824-1 treble. The victory provided Saffie her third racing league leading rider title.

The Paralympics action began yesterday in Paris and over in the swimming GB claimed Gold by Poppy Maskill and Tully Kearney. Overall it was a good start to the games as GB came away with 6 medals in total on Day 1.

A towel.

Happy Friday!
