My Brother Sylvest absolutely hacked up again at Wincanton yesterday to supplement his victory at Exeter on Tuesday. He was an easy ten length winner in the hands of young conditional Conor O'Farrell and according to David he could be in for a busy week as he is entered at Chepstow on Tuesday and Uttoxeter on Thursday. I am sure the handicapper will take a dim view of his successes so he will surely run again before the assessor can have his say. Incidentally, he is for sale and you can register your interest by calling our office on 01884 840715.

I bet that head lad and lifelong Manchester United fan Eddie Buckley will have a long face coming into the office this morning...I just wish that I was there to give him a little extra stick (although I am only allowed eight strikes!). As the whole country probably knows by now, Manchester City certainly marked themselves as the current benchmark in the Premiership by demolishing United 6-1 and I hope that a few of you took my advice and took some of the 3/1 about City. I thought that United's defenders looked past their sell-by date...Rio Ferdinand seems to have slowed up a bit owing to age and injury, while Johnny Evans is certainly not a centre half and the goalie doesn't exactly fill him with confidence.
Having said all of that, City were magnificent and if Mancini can keep all his players in the right mind set, they will take plenty of beating and the Premiership looks to be theirs for the taking. Meanwhile Chelsea were beaten by QPR and had two players sent off in the process (David will have a long face too!).
