            Lady Balko runs today!
After a quiet Monday with no runners from the stable, we are back today with just the one runner at our local track Taunton, who seems to have survived the downpour of rain we had over the weekend. We were due to have two runners at Taunton, but Kintaro is now a non runner. In the concluding race on the card, we have Lady Balko in the Mares’ Handicap Hurdle, with Jack Tudor on board. This is a quick reappearance after winning at Hereford last week and she was a very impressive winner by 19 lengths, so we are running her again as the handicapper will be sure to put her up more than the 7lb penalty. This is a slight step up in trip to 2miles 7f, but she is an Irish point-to-point winner so the distance should not be a problem and the track and ground will suit so fingers crossed she has a good chance!

Alongside racing at Taunton, there is also jump action at Market Rasen and all weather action completes the day at Newcastle. I think we are due a bit more rain across the week and I see that Huntingdon were inspecting at 7am this morning for their Thursday meeting, with the course still being flooded and unfortunately now that is abandoned. Already looking into the weekend, Kempton are hoping it will not significantly affect its Premier meeting on Saturday, as we are set to have a yellow weather warning from tomorrow onwards.

It is an exciting day today as we look a little closer to the Grand National in April with the weights are being launched, alongside with the Cheltenham Festival Handicap entries to also be revealed.

Last night in the football, there was one Premier League match, which was Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace. The result took Everton up to 17th place, above Luton on goal difference. Tonight there is one Premier League match, which is Manchester City vs. Brentford which kicks off at 7:30pm.

Why was Cinderella so bad a football?

She kept running away from the ball!

Have a good day!
