     Ramses De Teillee runs today!
We have two runner today at our local track, Exeter and they are two of our most popular older horses, Remastered and Ramses De Teillee.  They run in the veterans chase qualifier at 4.35pm and Jack Tudor rides Ramses while Brendan Powell rides Remastered for the first time.  There are 15 runners in the race and it looks very competitive but Ramses De Teillee does head the betting at about 7/2.  He did run very well in the final of this series at Warwick on his only start so far this season to be fourth last month and this is the first qualifier for the new season.  He will like conditions and is in good form at home so I would love him to run well.

Remastered has yet to re-capture his best form of last season but he has only had the two starts this term and last time was in in the December Gold Cup at Newbury.  This is his first run in a veterans race and in theory it is the best/easiest opportunity he has had for a while but it still looks a tough race!  He is in as good a form as ever at home and Ashely Farrant who rides him every day has to sit tight every morning!  Fingers crossed he can see out his race better today and be involved in the finish.

We did have American Sniper declared as well but that was only in case Newbury was called off so he does not run.  It is a very good card at Exeter today with a couple of listed races and the Pertemps hurdle qualifier.   There will be a large crowd down there, especially as it is student day but I am told they will all be in the centre of the course!

Exeter is the only jumps meeting today in Britain but they do have a good card jumps in Ireland at Navan.  There is one all-weather meeting at Lingfield this afternoon as well.

Unfortunately there is no point to pointing in the west country today after it was called off on Thursday due to waterlogging.  It was due to be at Buckfastleigh – just down the road from Exeter!  They had good entries and it is one of my favourite point to point track so it is just gutting for them that they have lost both of their fixtures this season.  They are due to race there again on 2nd March so fingers crossed it dries a little and that can go ahead.

We have the final Six Nations rugby game of the weekend this afternoon and Ireland play Italy in Dublin at 3pm.  The good sporting action continues with two good Premier League matches this afternoon as well.  West Ham play Arsenal at 2pm while Manchester United travel to Villa Park to play Aston Villa at 4.30pm.

When my husband is upset I let him colour in my black and white tattoos.

He just really needs a shoulder to crayon!

Have a lovely Sunday!
