Hopefully we have avoided any need for weather warnings and the forecast isn’t looking too bad for the next few days but unfortunately we have just been informed that Newbury has been abandoned tomorrow and they will hold an inspection at two o’clock today to see if there is any improvement for Saturdays Card. Looking forward to today’s action there are flat meetings on the all weather at Lingfield and Wolverhampton, and two jump meetings, at Carlisle and at Ludlow where we have three runners.

Dindin runs in the 1.50pm Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Chase with Martin McIntyre on board, for the David Pipe Racing Club. He went through the sales ring last week at Doncaster having been kindly leased to the Club by Mr and Mrs Wilson for the summer, but he is a real favourite with everyone, so we are all very pleased and grateful that David bought him back. Dindin never runs a bad race and he should be in the mix.

Neon Moon runs in the 3.30pm Novice Handicap Chase. He has certainly shown ability over fences with a good second in a competitive race at Ascot last February. He is on good form at home after a summer break and should run a good race.

Nibras Gold is in the 5.41pm Handicap Hurdle. He goes to Ludlow in search of the best ground around and it may just be on the soft side for him but he is such an honest horse with his form speaking for itself with placings galore he is sure to try his best.

Last night at Kempton Lady Reset ran well to a point but she just isn’t finishing her races off like she used to. She is such a lovely mare and is looking forward to a future in the breeding shed but she may have another race before then.

Zara Cox who works here at Pond House passed her driving test yesterday so many congratulations to her from us all. She has gone racing today to lead up at Ludlow and hope her good fortune continues to bring home a winner or 3!
