Vertige Dore appeared to be unlucky once again at Worcester yesterday in the Beginners chase.  Since going over the larger obstacles he went past the post first and was disqualified, he fell last time out when travelling well at Hereford and then yesterday he was given a good ride by Timmy Murphy and had every chance jumping the last where he made a mistake and then he was badly hampered on the run-in which cost him any chance on winning.  He finished fourth in the end but suely his turn for winning is near.  Today jumping action moves to Market Rasen and there is some great prize money on offer.  David has a runner, Qulinton in the Listed handicap chase with £28,475 up for grabs with a supporting Listed hurdle worth £17,085.  There is also a juvenile hurdle worth over £10,000 but having said that the Bumper is only worth £1299.70 to the winner.  Surely they could have found another couple of grand for that race?  Just think if you finish fourth in that Bumper you win just £95 which will not even pay the jockeys riding fees!

Qulinton was successful at Market Rasen earlier in the summer but went up a lot in the handicap for that win and so has to carry top weight in this afternoons race.  Conor O'Farrell keeps the ride and takes a vaulable three pounds off his back.  He did run in the Galway Plate last time where conditions didn't suit but it is hoped he can bounce back to form in this valuable race.  Businessmoney Judi is David's only other runner at Market Rasen in the opening race on the card.  She has won three of her four starts over hurdles since joining Pond House and although it is a very competitive race we are hoping that she will run well.

What about that syndicate I mentioned yesterday that were going to try and win the Jackpot at Newmarket.  They were going to invest £40,000 to try and win the big money but in fact the jackpot just paid out £16,610.  The winnings would have been higher but Betfair suffered technical problems and failed to register the bets of several punters and the biggest prive winner of the day was only 5/1 so that is why so many people got the jackpot and it was a smaller payout.

I read in the paper that Kirsty Milczarek has a problem, she does not know where to buy a bikini because it is September!  Any suggestions are welcome, although it is not a problem I seem to have Kirsty!

I always have a bet on the football on a Saturday so here is my advice for today!  Arsenal at 1/2 with Liverpool at 2/5 and my third bet is West Ham for the treble at 4/6.
