The stable continues in good form and we enjoyed a winner at Taunton yesterday when Paricolor (pictured above) ran out a decisive winner of the selling hurdle.  He has been doing very well of late and was completing a hat-trick here under Fergus Gillard who gave him a good, positive ride despite a few sticky jumps early on.  Indeed. we were unlucky not to score with our other runner as well as Mr Clarkson would surely have gone very close in the novices' handicap chase but for sprawling on landing at the penultimate fence and unseating David Noonan.

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Cheltenham, Doncaster and Bangor as well as an all-weather flat card from Southwell.  David has six runners today, split across all of the jumps meetings with Make Me A Believer, Nordic Combined, Broughtons Admiral and Dell'Arca at Cheltenham, Rathlin Rose at Doncaster and Poker Play at Bangor.

We will begin at Cheltenham where it is an early start for day one of their International meeting and the very promising Make Me A Believer represents the stable in the 2m1f novices' hurdle at 11.30am.  The winner of a decent Chepstow bumper for us on his rules debut, he duly confirmed that good impression when runner-up on his first start over timber behind a highly regarded type at Lingfield on his first outing in over a year.  The winner and third have won again subsequently and in receipt of weight from the previous winners in the line-up, he looks to have solid claims under Tom Scudamore.

Nordic Combined runs in the 2m1f handicap hurdle at 12.40pm.  A good second at Taunton last time, he was perhaps a little unlucky not to have won as he wandered around between the last two flights.  He is only 1lb higher this afternoon and has each-way claims again under Fergus Gillard.

We are doubly represented in the three mile handicap hurdle at 3.35pm with Dell' Arca and Broughtons Admiral in the line-up.  Dell' Arca had done well to win twice at the age of eleven but could not complete the hat-trick at Newbury last time from this mark, whilst Broughtons Admiral did not shape badly on his reappearance at Newton Abbot before disappointing last time.  He is only 3lbs higher than when an easy winner at Hereford last season and any further rain should only aid his cause.  He is at the bottom of the handicap and could outrun his odds under Tom Scudamore.

At Doncaster, Rathlin Rose contests the conditional jockeys' veterans' handicap chase at 2.52pm.  Rathlin Rose has been a tremendous servant through the years and is on his lowest mark since 2015.  He is ridden by the excellent Jack Tudor and is certainly not without hope here at a decent price.

Poker Play is our sole runner at Bangor when he runs in the 2m7f handicap hurdle at 2.05pm.  Whilst his profile is a little in and out, he is certainly capable of very smart form, especially when conditions are very testing.  He has his ground today and whilst he is still 6lbs above his last winning mark, this looks like a decent opportunity and he should go well under David Noonan.
