The stable enjoyed another nice winner yesterday afternoon as Leoncavallo turned the 1m6f flat handicap into a procession under James Doyle.  Given a sensible ride (especially given the size of the field), he was always prominent and the race was never in doubt once James sent him for him.  He is entered at Pontefract on Friday where he would undoubtedly be well-treated under a 4lbs penalty - it will be interesting to see what David does next with him.  Leoncavallo has been in tremendous form since arriving at Pond House, winning over fences at Stratford in near course record time, before last night's success.  He was another winner for owners the Value Racing Club and they have been in tremendous form of late.

If you are a fan of the jumps you are out of luck today.  There are three meetings taking place with flat cards from Beverley, Kempton and Wolverhampton.  There are no runners from the Pond House team this afternoon.

There was some great snooker action from Sheffield yesterday with Ronnie O'Sullivan beating another former champion Mark Williams 13-10 having trailed 6-2 overnight.  'The Rocket' is always good for a soundbite and in his post-match interview bemoaned his lack of a cue action, stating that it was only his positional play that was keeping him in any of these matches.  His defeated opponent Mark Williams was a little more realistic, saying that he had enjoyed 'a good match' before adding that Ronnie 'probably said that he played sh*t'!

O'Sullivan will face Mark Selby in the semi-finals and that should be fascinating given that Selby's play is the antithesis of Ronnie's game and ideal for these long matches.  Selby played tremendously well to beat another former champion Neil Robertson 13-7.
