There is a cracking card at Fairyhouse today, the worst prize money is in the first race and that is still 10,000 Euros so it is great prize money in Ireland.  The 16 times Champion jockey AP is over there and has several fancied rides, there is no let up for the jocks! Tomorrow (Monday) will see big crowds at Fairyhouse for the Irish Grand National.  Can anyone remember a very young Adrian Maguire riding Omerta to win this race many years ago?!  I went to the track a few years ago with our runner Rushing Wild and I can tell you the Irish really do look after you.  I do know why our staff are always so keen to go over there, although they assure me it is nothing to do with the guiness!

David is having his first runner in the race, Or Noir De Somoza and Conor O'Farrell is in the saddle.  He travelled over yesterday with Gerry Supple and they reported they had a good journey over and are looking forward to tomorrow.  Our gelding is none the worse for his fall in the Grand National last time and seems in good form at home so we are keeping our fingers crossed for a big run.

There is jump racing action from Plumpton and Towcester today so it is certainly interesting to see who heads the trainers and jockeys winners tables over the next few weeks, it is always good to get the first winner or two on the board at least but it is a long old season until next April!  David has no runners today but enjoy the action everyone and Happy Easter!

I see from the Racing Post that trainer George Bakers holiday highlights are a trip to Nashville, Tennessee for their annual cricket tour.  When I was in Nashville I do not remember seeing many cricket pitches, just lots of people walking around with guitars strapped to their backs!
