There are five meetings today, flat cards at Goodwood, Redcar, Sandown and Leicester plus a jumps card at Perth.  I have been looking through the card at Goodwood and the first race looks more like a jump trainers flat race!  There are 14 runners and nine of them are trained by National Hunt connections.  If Lil Rockerfeller is fit and well then he looks on a good handicap mark running off 82.  He last ran over hurdles off a mark of 153!  There are lots of runners at Galway and the big race of the day is the Galway Plate.  It is run over 2m6f, there are 22 runners and they go 8/1 the field.  Willie Mullins is going very well at Galway this week and he has five runners in the big race.

I love the quote from jockey Andrei Atzeni after he won on Stradivarius at Goodwood yesterday, he said "the big one's in a couple of weeks so the last thing I wanted to do was to give him a hard time.  I kept him fresh for Frankie!"

It is Mark Pitman's birthday today, he is 52.  Mark worked at Pond House and rode for us for a while.  I remember once helping to get his car out of a ditch and I took a few tasty calls from a lady called Jenny!  Happy Birthday Mark!

Today see's the start of the Test match between England and India at 11am and it is live on Sky Sports.  I am still not convinced about the England team and I have had a few quid on India to win the series at 2/1.

I see that Manchester United have already got there next manager lined up, Zinedine Zidane if Mourinho goes.  There has to be problems at United with so many rumours flying about.

There is a big golf tournament also coming up, the WGS Bridgestone Invitational.  It looks like all the top golfers from around the World will be playing.  Jordan SPieth is 18/1 and F Molinari is 25/1 and both of these will give me some interest.

I was speaking to Pop Robson yesterday, some of you West Ham fans will remember him scoring lot of goals for us.  His wife Maureen played table tennis for England.  It was nice to have a catch up with them both.

I just got a text from heaven, that was a godsend!  Have a nice day.
