Today we have four meetings, jumps cards at Kempton and Bangor plus flat cards at Chelmsford and Newcastle.  David has two runners at Kempton; Tobacco Road (pictured above) runs in the first at Kempton, the 1.20pm conditional jockeys handicap hurdle over 2 miles.  He won his penultimate start at Taunton on good ground but was disappointing on the same track on soft ground last time.  He was a bit 'free' last time so hopefully if not so much use is made of him he would have an each way chance.  Michael Heard rides and takes a handy three pounds off.  King's Socks runs in the 2.25pm Graduation chase over 2m4f.  The is his first run for the stable and he has some good form in France.  He was runner up to Footpad at Auteuil in 2016 on soft ground and this looks good form.  He is however coming back from a long lay off so you would expect him to improve for the run whatever happens.  Tom Scu rides and he has a good chance.

Yesterday Dell'arca was going well at Huntingdon but did not jump the third last very well and that took his chance away.

Brazilian legend jockey Jorge Ricardo has ridden 12846 winners so he has broken the World record for number of winners ridden which was formerly held by Russell Maze.  Ricardo is now 56 years so I wonder how many more winners he will ride?  Does anyone know what the British record is?  Well I can tell you that it is held by Sir Gordon Richards on 4870.  So the Brazilian's achievement is pretty remarkable.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said we are the best at diving and I am  not talking about the Olympics!  He says Harry Kane and Dele Alli are now the masters of diving.  This will certainly spice things up ahead of tomorrow's North London derby.

What an honour for Lizzy Yarnold, the defending skeleton champion who will head out the 58 strong British Winter Olympic squad and carry the flag in the Opening Ceremony.  I am not sure I would be too excited, the temperature is expected to be -20ºc!  She of course will have on lots of thick layers and a massive jacket on.  I would also put my thermal long johns on - I even play golf in mine and it is not even below freezing!  It sounds as though I am just a wimp!
