Roger Stanley, the lucky part-owner of Madison du Berlais and Grands Crus is coming down to Taunton to see his runner E Street Boy in action.  I have heard on the grapevine that Luke Harvey wants to interview Roger for Attheraces...you would have thought that prospect alone was enough for Roger to give the meeting a swerve!  I have played golf with Roger and I can tell you that he is very competitive.  He also likes his cycling and he tells me that he has ridden around Europe...or maybe it was just France?  I would love to see him in his lycra shorts - only joking Roger!

Kieren Fallon is 46 today and for me, he is still one of the very best jockeys out there.  It's amazing that you can still be at the top of your game at that age - there are not many sports where you require that sort of physical strength, but can also enjoy that sort of longevity.

One that I will be looking to be on again next time was Decent Lord who completed the hat-trick in very easy style at Hereford yesterday.  The seven year old holds entries later on in the week and I would imagine that connections will need to run him again quickly under a penalty before the handicapper has a chance to catch up with him.  Over at Wolverhampton Captain Cool was successful under (Racing Post quote) "veteran jockey" Miss Emily Jones.  I am not sure that Emily will be too pleased with that description of her.

As a West Ham Utd fan, I don't get many opportunities to gloat about my football team, but didn't the Hammers ever win last night?!  They beat Burnley 5-1 so life is good at the moment - Eddie our head lad (yet another Manchester United supporter who has never even been to Manchester!) normally gives me stick about my team, but he couldn't say a word this morning...happy days!
