Today we just have the one jumps card at Sedgefield after Fontwell's meeting was lost on Friday due to water logging. David has one runner, Top Wood in the 3.45 handicap chase. He always runs consistently and although he was slightly disappointing last time we hope he can bounce back to form in this £10,000 contest. Tom Scu goes up to ride him and he has one another ride on the card for Alan Swinbank.
I saw a picture of Sir AP on holiday with his wife Chanelle wearing some of the worst swimming trunks I have ever seen! Who wears pink trunks?! AP is the new president of the Injured Jockey's Fund. Not many people get knighted and are president in such a short time!
It was good of football fan Rod Stewart to give £10,000 to help save Carlisle. They need to raise about £3 million to repair the damage caused by recent floods. You might think that some of the big earning Premier League players might dip into their pockets to help out or even sell one of their Roll's Royce's! Talking of Carlisle, they play at home to Everton in the FA Cup at 1.30pm today. Chelsea also play away to MK Dons at 4pm. I might have a double at 1/2 and 4/11 on the two Premier League teams.
