It's a big day at Plumpton with their top meeting of the season taking place and the Sussex National topping the bill.  We won the feature race last year with the progressive stayer Master Overseer and he bids to follow-up this afternoon from a 6lbs higher mark.  We also have dual Southern National winner Peut Etre Sivola in the line-up so fingers crossed!  If you have never been to the Sussex track, it is well worth a visit - it is very much like being back in the East end with all the cockney's there!  Jellied eels and curries all feature prominently at the track and the train stops right outside so us Londoner's don't get lost!

I think that it is great that Blackpool manager Ian Holloway's team are in the Premier League.  Holloway is a breath of fresh air to football with his candid and honest opinions.  He says that greedy players are ruining the game, and I think that every hard working football fan (myself included) would agree with him.  If you were to put a maximum wage on players, I wonder if they would all pack-in the game?  I don't think they, and while I know that it will never be implemented, it is something the governing body should consider.  Clubs paying players up to £250,000 per week is just obscene.

I see that Sir Alex Ferguson recalled his loan players from Preston when his son Darren was given the sack.  Two more players loaned to Preston from another team were also recalled - I wonder if someone had a word?!  Preston could be in a bit of bother - not only did they get rid of their manager, but they also lost five players - remember, you don't upset the Manchester United manager..just ask Becks or Rooney!
