Today we have four meetings, all on the flat at Wetherby, Ayr, Windsor and Wolverhampton. There is a 7 race card at Wolverhampton for £30,000 so pretty poor prize money. I still find it hard to remember that Wetherby is a flat track! Purple N Gold and My Brother Sylvest both finished fourth at Stratford yesterday and both ran okay. Lets just hope the handicapper drops them a few pounds. Both Sir Frank Morgan and Skylander were disappointing at Southwell. They were talking about Gordon Elliott going through the card at Perth. In the end he never had a winner - it's a funny old game!
It looks like Ryan Moore is going to be out for a while with his neck injury. It could be a month so it looks like Silvestre De Sousa is the favourite for the flat jockey's championship.
Novak Djokovic was far too good for Roger Federer and is the Wimbledon Champion after beating him 3-1. I think it should have been 3-0. Tim Henman must be the worst judge in tennis, he said Murray would beat Federer and Federer would bet Djokovic!. I had five Wimbledon bets and four of them won! Lewis Hamilton was not allowed into the Royal Box yesterday as he turned up in what I would describe as disco clothing! He had no collar/tie or jacket so they would not let him in and rightly so. In the lost property department at Wimbledon they have found a Christmas pudding, 70 umbrellas and a false leg! Surely you would know if your false leg was missing or am I missing something?!
Raheem Sterling has moved to Manchester City for £49 million. I think he is the most overpriced signing ever. With his wages it is costing City £100 million. Time will tell.
There is another great week of sport coming up. On Thursday it is the start of the Open golf and the second test at Lords. Ricky Fowler won the Scottish Open so the American goes to St Andrews in good form. He is 22/1 which looks a fair price. Justin Rose is 18/1 and Stenson 22/1 which gives me a bit of interest.
What goes as fast as a racehorse - the jockey! Have a nice day.
